Veterinary Surgeon

Dr. Monica Bruixola became a veterinary surgeon in 2018 after studying veterinary medicine in Valencia at CEU Cardinal Herrera University. After completing her studies, Dr Monica worked in Manchester, UK and Liverpool, UK in referral hospitals and as a general practitioner. Dr Monica joined the BVS team in 2021 as a full time general practitioner veterinary surgeon focused on small animal medicine with a special interest in emergency medicine and surgery. In 2022, Dr Monica completed the Accelerated Emergency and Critical Care Program with Improve International to further her interests and hone her skills in emergency veterinary medicine.

During all of the years Dr Monica has worked as a veterinary surgeon, she has been able to combine her work as a veterinarian with her love of dance in order to also further her dance career, working as a dance teacher, a yoga practitioner and soon an instructor. Dr Monica intends to continue to follow her passions for veterinary medicine and for dance. She hopes one day to own a dance studio while continuing to work part time at a veterinary practice, always keeping both worlds operating in harmony alongside each other.
